Shortly after the primary election which produced Rt. Hon. Najeem Folasayo Salam (IWALOYE) P.hD as the Governorship candidate for Our Great Party ADC in Osun State, all the Party Chairmen across the thirty Local Government Areas of Osun State have unanimously adopted Engr. Ezekiel Olajide Adeniji as our party Leader
The decision to adopt Engineer Adeniji was taken during a close door meeting held in Osogbo.
The forum of ADC LOCAL GOVERNMENT chairmen in a statement issued during the meeting said “we use this medium to express our appreciation to the Leader Engr. Adeniji for his selfless services for the progress of our Party in the State and Nigeria at large. We also acknowledge his tremendous work with the coalition through (PDP, Isokan) to the progress of our dear party, we pray for God guidance, favour and unlimited blessings to follow him all the time.
The forum added that after thorough and painstaking deliberations and considerations of some salient factors adopted Hon. (Mrs.) Agiri Yemisi Temitope as the Deputy Governor Candidate of the ADC in Osun State.
A communique read after the meeting quoted The ADC local government Chairmen as declaring that “consequently, all Local Government Chairmen hereby adopt, endorse and affirm Hon. (Mrs.) Agiri Yemisi Temitope as the Deputy Governorship Candidate for our great Party in Osun State gorvernorship election coming up on the 8th of August 2026, The forum said the decision was taken according to ADC constitution and Coalition agreement between the party at the National and State Leaders. The forum of ADC local government Chairmen thanked The State Chairman of the Party Dr Charles Omidiji for his fairness and just consideration of the matter regarding the selection of the Deputy Governorship Candidate of the Party.
The forum quoted The ADC Chairman in Osun State in his statement after the primary election as saying”As a party, we acknowledge the evolving political landscape in Osun State. Since the formation of political coalition, Omoluabi Progressives, as produced a governor and with ongoing political realignments including the (PDP, Isokan) led by Engr. Jide Adeniji indicating plans towards deputy governorship arrangements, it is clear that Osun people are yearning for credible, people-oriented leadership. ADC stands ready to provide that alternative rooted in integrity, competence and true service to the people.”
The ADC local government leaders stand by the above position of Dr Omidiji, The Osun State ADC Chairman.
They prayed to God Almighty for ADC candidates both Rt. Hon. Najeem Folasayo Salam and Hon. (Mrs.) Agiri Yemisi Temitope will by August 2026 declared winner of the gorvernorship election, amen.
The meeting was concluded leaving the chairmen with undoubted clarity of success ahead of the governorship election in our dear State.
