The lawmaker representing Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Honourable Oluwole Oke, has described the emergence of Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji as the 2026 Osun State All Progressives Congress (APC) consensus governorship flag bearer as well-deserved and a reflection of confidence in his leadership capacity.
In a felicitation message issued on Saturday, Hon. Oke congratulated Oyebamiji on his emergence, noting that the development underscores his experience, competence, and commitment to the growth and development of Osun State.
The Chairman, House Committee on Foreign Affairs, also commended other aspirants in the race for their maturity, unity of purpose, and commendable spirit of sportsmanship, describing their conduct as a boost to party cohesion ahead of the 2026 governorship election.
According to him, the consensus arrangement reflects the APC’s determination to present a united front and a formidable candidate capable of providing good governance and purposeful leadership to the people of Osun State.
Hon. Oke urged party members, supporters, and stakeholders across the state to rally round the consensus candidate, stressing the need for unity, cooperation, and collective responsibility in securing victory for the party in the forthcoming polls.
He reaffirmed his commitment to supporting all initiatives geared towards the success of the APC and the overall progress of Osun State.
