‎‎‎‎Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has charged the political class to focus on delivering good governance as the true measure of leadership and democracy.‎‎

The governor made this call in Osogbo on Sunday shortly after returning to the country from a brief medical check-up abroad.‎‎

Expressing renewed commitment to his duties, Adeleke in a statement signed by his spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed on Sunday said politics must always revolve around service to the people rather than personal ambition or power struggles.‎‎ “I am glad to be back after a few days off. We are energised to continue the task of delivering good governance. That is the essence of politicking,” he said.‎‎

“The political class must deliver on good governance. We cannot joke with the rule of law. We must be accountable, transparent, and serve only the interest of the people, not selfish agendas.”‎‎

The governor emphasized that true leadership requires humility and dedication to public welfare, adding that “any politics that hurts the people is condemnable.”‎‎

Adeleke reiterated his condolence to the people of Akinlalu over the recent killings in the community, assuring that justice would prevail as investigations continue.‎‎
