Organizers of the forthcoming IMOLE Millionaire Draw have moved to dispel public misconceptions suggesting that the initiative is a government-backed betting scheme.
Mr. Ladi Adebayo, Chief Executive Officer of 2AG Integrated and Tailored Solutions Limited, made the clarification while speaking about the project, which is scheduled to launch in Osun State this month.
He explained that the initiative is strictly a lottery system, modeled after global best practices, and designed to create wealth and job opportunities while boosting state revenue.
“Our brand name is Osun Mega Draw, and IMOLE Millionaire is one of the products under it,” Adebayo stated. “Starting from September, every Saturday night, Osun will have a guaranteed millionaire. This is not betting. This is a lottery system like those practiced all over the world, with full regulatory compliance and government oversight.”
Explaining how the draw will work, Adebayo said tickets will be sold for ₦500 through 2,000 partnered agents across the state, in collaboration with the Association of Mobile Banking and POS Operators. Participants will also be able to play through a dedicated USSD code or the company’s website, making the platform accessible nationwide.
According to him, ticket sales will close at 6:45 pm every Saturday, after which a live draw will be held at 7:00 pm using a certified random number generator. “If we sell 100,000 tickets, the system will pick winners from that pool, live on screen, and by 7:01 pm we already know who won the ₦1 million grand prize,” Adebayo explained. The system will then generate additional winners for other cash prizes, including ₦500,000, ₦250,000, ₦100,000, and 50 consolation prizes of ₦50,000 each.

Mr Adebayo emphasized that the Osun State Internal Revenue Service will have direct access to the central system to ensure transparency. Beyond entertainment, the initiative is expected to provide employment for thousands of Osun youths, who will work as marketers, support staff, and operations personnel.
In line with responsible gaming principles, 2AG has pledged to enforce strict age verification to prevent underage participation, ensure transparent odds disclosure, and provide spending limits and self-exclusion options for players.
The company also announced that 10% of its profits will be channeled into corporate social responsibility projects focused on community empowerment and sustainable development across the state.
