Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has debunked speculations suggesting he is planning to defect to the African Democratic Congress (ADC), affirming his unwavering loyalty to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

In a statement by his Spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, the Governor described the reports of an alleged alignment with ADC figures ahead of the 2026 governorship race as false and misleading.

“I am not joining ADC, and I have no alliance with anyone in the party,” Governor Adeleke said.

“I remain a committed member of the PDP and will seek re-election on the platform of our great party.”

The Governor emphasized that his administration’s achievements have earned him the trust and support of Osun people, which he believes will translate into a wide-margin victory in the 2026 elections.

“Osun people have witnessed the progress we have made, and that work is ongoing. I have no reason to leave the PDP. Together with our people, we will consolidate on these gains and secure a fresh mandate,” he stated.

Governor Adeleke also reaffirmed the PDP’s position in the state, noting that the party has adopted President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the 2027 presidential election, thereby dispelling any notion of alliance with the ADC.

He urged party members across Osun to intensify efforts in strengthening party structures ahead of next year’s polls.
