‎‎‎‎‎National Secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, has called on party members across Osun State to intensify grassroots mobilisation efforts ahead of the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise scheduled to commence on August 18.‎‎

Aregbesola made this appeal during the monthly meeting of the Omoluabi Progressives held in Ilesa on Sunday where party stakeholders from all local government areas of the state gathered to deliberate on the future of the party and its strategy moving forward.

‎‎The former Osun State Governor commended the party faithful for their unwavering loyalty and sacrifices both financial and material towards the growth of the ADC. ‎‎

He said their consistent commitment has been instrumental in sustaining the party’s momentum and preparing for a political comeback.

‎‎Ogbeni Aregbesola stressed the importance of the CVR exercise in mobilising support for the party, particularly among young people.‎‎

Aregbesola urged members to take the registration seriously by encouraging those who have reached voting age and those disillusioned by previous administrations to register and get ready to vote.‎‎

The ADC chieftain also reminded members of the need for decorum in political engagements.

‎‎He urged them to focus on issue-based campaigns and refrain from personal attacks or name-calling, saying such behaviour could derail the party’s vision of offering an alternative leadership model based on integrity and development.‎‎

Reaffirming his belief in the support of the people, Aregbesola expressed confidence in the party’s mission to reclaim Osun and reintroduce a people-centred and progressive government.‎‎

“We are determined to restore true leadership. Nigeria must work in our lifetime and Osun must lead the way,” he declared.‎‎‎
