Fortune smiled on the residents of Iree, in Boripe Local Government Area of Osun State, as Lions Clubs International brought much-needed eye care services to the community.
Lovenigeria News reports that people of all ages, especially those from rural villages around Iree who often struggle to access proper eye care, were given the opportunity to receive free eye screenings and treatment from skilled ophthalmic specialists.
The beneficiaries, deeply grateful for the service, expressed their heartfelt thanks and prayed for the continued success of Lions Clubs International for their generosity in improving the health and well-being of the people.
Speaking with journalists, the Outreach Officer, Lion Olufunke Odesanmi, encouraged the people to make routine eye examinations a part of their yearly health routine.
She also recommended visiting the Lions Eye Centre at the State Specialist Hospital in Asubiaro, Osogbo, to avoid the complications that arise from neglected eye health.
