The Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adeoye Aribasoye, has praised Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s recent recognition as the Silverbird Governor of the Year, describing it as a testament to the governor’s effective leadership and commitment to fulfilling his electoral promises.
Governor Oyebanji received the prestigious award from Silverbird Communications on Sunday, honoring his administration’s strides across various sectors in the state.
In a press statement signed by Babajide Agbeyo, Special Adviser to the Speaker on Media, Rt. Honourable Aribasoye commended the governor, lauding him as a “silent achiever” whose leadership style prioritizes progress over publicity.
“Your Excellency, you are no doubt a silent achiever, a consistent leader, a progressive-minded politician, and a man of the people. This award is an added laurel and a well-deserved honor,” Aribasoye stated.
The Speaker emphasized that the recognition reflects the collective belief of Ekiti residents that they made the right choice electing Oyebanji.
He described the governor as a “competent performer with a zest for excellence,” noting his administration’s impactful reforms and developmental projects that have left “positive footprints across the state.”
Rt. Honourable Aribasoye further highlighted the strong relationship between the Executive and Legislative arms in Ekiti, calling it a key factor behind the administration’s success.
He credited the seamless collaboration with enabling the governor to implement his policies effectively, ensuring the state continues to witness growth.
“At the level of the legislature, we really enjoy working with our amiable governor. This mutual relationship has its own positive effects on the overall outlook of the administration,” he added.
The Speaker who offered prayers for more successes and accolades to Governor Oyebanji, asked God to grant him continued wisdom and strength to steer Ekiti State toward greater heights.
