The Member representing Obokun State Constituency in the Osun State House of Assembly, Hon. Adewumi Adeyemi popularly known as Irekandu, has lauded Governor Ademola Adeleke for his dedication to infrastructural development in Obokun Local Government and across Osun State.
Speaking on the 2025 Infrastructure Projects Plan released by Governor Adeleke early this week during a radio program on Uniq FM monitored by LoveNigeriaMedia, Hon. Adeyemi reaffirmed his earlier promise to his constituents that the State Government would prioritize key infrastructural projects, particularly road constructions critical to the area’s economic growth.
He highlighted the Governor’s financial prudence, noting that despite the scale of the projects, Governor Adeleke has not sought Assembly approval for any loans a move he described as a testament to the Governor’s frugality and responsible management of state resources.
Among the approved projects for Obokun Local Government are Ada – Ada-Owode – Ipetu-Ile – Ibokun – Idominasi Road, Rehabilitation of the collapsed Ilahun-Ijesa – Ere-Ijesa Bridge, Rehabilitation of Otan-Ile – Ilare-Ijesa – Esa-Odo – Ijebu-Ijesa Road

Hon. Adeyemi described these projects as transformative, emphasizing that they would improve connectivity, enhance economic and agricultural activities, and raise the overall standard of living for the people of Obokun Local Government Area.
He further expressed optimism that other key projects — including the Imesi-Ile – Esa-Oke Road, the roads across Ward 5 and additional road networks across Obokun State Constituency would soon commence, bringing further development to the area.
