Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to delivering good governance, stating that all attempts to derail his government have failed.

In a statement signed by the Osun State Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Oluomo Kolapo Alimi, Governor Adeleke stated this during a State Executive Council meeting in Osogbo where the Governor reflected on recent events and vowed to remain steadfast in his service to the people of Osun.

“Last month was a very busy and turbulent one,” Governor Adeleke said. “We were confronted with a misuse of federal power, from security services to judicial interference. A vicious, anti-democratic campaign was launched against our government, and Osun was under siege in a manner nobody ever envisaged. But we survived the offensive onslaught and overcame the forces that sought to impose anarchy on us.”

The Governor highlighted his administration’s recent achievements, including the successful conduct of local government elections and the swearing-in of elected officials.

He assured that legal actions were in progress to address irregularities concerning local government administration.

The Governor also announced that he would unveil the 2025 infrastructure project implementation plan and timelines marking the beginning of statewide project inspections and commissioning of completed projects.

Governor Adeleke emphasized his government’s commitment to accountability, stating that efforts were underway to investigate financial misconduct under the previous administration.

He urged cabinet members to uphold due process while commending them for standing firm against opposition pressures.

“As we move forward, we must remain vigilant. The opposition forces are still lurking, but we must never succumb to distractions. Our focus must remain on delivering the five-point agenda and completing ongoing projects while launching new ones to ensure development reaches every corner of Osun State,” he stated.

“We have the upper hand, and we must forge ahead without any weakness,” Governor Adeleke affirmed.
