Golden Jubilee: St. Lawrence Grammar School 1974 Alumni Celebrate 50 Years

St. Lawrence Grammar School Alumni Association (SLOSA) congratulates the 1974 Set as they celebrate their 50th anniversary of graduating from the prestigious institution.

The event which will hold tomorrow July 13th 2024 marks a significant milestone in the alumni’s history, reflecting on their journey since leaving the school in 1974.

In a heartfelt message, L.K. Apata from the 1969 Set expressed his joy at the steps taken by the ’74 Set, describing it as an answer to the prayers made during the inauguration of their 50-year exit.

Mr Apata highlighted the tradition of graduates giving back to the school, emphasizing that contributions need not be limited to a 50-year mark but can be made at any significant interval such as 40, 45, or 53 years.

His Royal Highness, Oba Lawrence Ajibade Ajiboye, a 1969 alumnus, sent his royal felicitations to the ’74 Set.

He recounted his deep connections with the class, having invigilated their entrance exams in 1969 and taught them Biology in 1972.

Oba Ajiboye noted the leadership qualities and uprightness of many members of the ’74 Set, acknowledging their support during his coronation in 2021.

He praised their commitment to the upliftment of their alma mater and extended his congratulations.

Lawrence Aluko from the 1979 Set, on behalf of SLOSA worldwide, extended his congratulations to the ’74 Set for witnessing this celebration in good health and sound mind.

He prayed for their continued well-being and long life.

Rev. M. I. Adeyemi, also from the 1979 Set and the Ilesa Chapter Secretary of NWO/SLOSA, offered his blessings, wishing the ’74 Set divine favor, sound health, and abundant wealth.

He expressed hope that they would continue to make a positive impact wherever they go.

Prince Sunday Adewusi, from the 1983 Set and the publisher of Ijesa News and Love Nigeria Magazine, also sent his goodwill message.

Prince Adewusi expressed his pride in the ’74 Set’s achievements and their dedication to the school.

He wished them continued success and happiness.

The 50th-anniversary celebration not only marks a half-century since their graduation but also showcases the enduring bonds and contributions of the St. Lawrence Grammar School alumni.

The event serves as a testament to the strong sense of community and dedication to giving back that characterizes the school’s graduates.
