As political momentum builds ahead of the August 8, 2026 Osun governorship election, A Governorship Aspirant under the Platform of All Progressives Congress (APC), Engineer Dideolu Falobi, has declared that his administration will focus on holistic development if entrusted with the mandate to govern the state.
Speaking during a political program on Akorede Radio in Iwo on Saturday, The Iwoye-Ijesa Born Politician cautioned against the narrow view that good governance is achieved solely through road infrastructure.
He noted that while road projects are important, real governance means ensuring all roads particularly those in rural areas are motorable, alongside giving equal attention to education, Health, agriculture, youth employment, and security.
The World Class Engineer argued that successive governments sometimes lose focus because of pre-election pressures and transactional politics, which compel them to prioritize recovering campaign expenses over fulfilling promises to the people who voted them into power.
According to him, this vicious cycle must be broken if Osun is to experience true progress.

“I know the inner workings of our politics. I have seen how campaign demands can derail good intentions, but I am coming into this race prepared and determined to keep my administration focused on the people. We will keep the doors of government open and truly listen to the yearnings of the masses,” he said.
Engineer Falobi expressed confidence that his party, the APC, is ready to deliver transformational leadership, saying the competitive race for the party’s ticket is a sign of a vibrant democracy and determination to move the state forward.
Turning to national issues, The Bobajiro of Ilesa praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s ongoing reforms, saying Nigerians are beginning to see the results of tough but necessary policy decisions.
He urged citizens to remain patient, affirming that Tinubu’s people-centered policies will win him re-election in 2027.
