You and Your Team Are Doing a Phenomenal Job – Gbajabiamila Praises Adeleke

The Chief of Staff to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, has commended Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, and members of his administration for what he described as a phenomenal performance both at the state and national levels.

According to a statement issued by the Spokesperson to the Osun State Governor, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, Gbajabiamila gave the commendation during a visit to the Governor at the Government House, Osogbo ahead of his keynote address at the inaugural edition of the Osun State University Annual Lecture.

The former Speaker of the House of Representatives noted that Governor Adeleke has consistently prioritized governance over politics in his interactions with the Federal Government.

“I must say that you and members of your team are doing a phenomenal job in the state and on the national pedestal,” Gbajabiamila said.

He further applauded Osun State for producing effective lawmakers like Hon. Bamidele Salam, Chairman of the House Committee on Public Accounts, whose work, he said, has helped the Federal Government block loopholes previously exploited for corruption.

While emphasizing the need for synergy between the Federal and State Governments, Gbajabiamila said “Most people do not know that the Governor and I are together. I’ve known him for quite a long time. When he sees good things, he acknowledges it. It is difficult for some people to separate governance from politics.”

Responding, Governor Adeleke warmly welcomed the Chief of Staff to Osun, describing him as a trusted brother and partner in progress who has continued to work tirelessly to support President Tinubu’s administration.T

The Governor praised President Tinubu for launching the Nigeria Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), which he said would guarantee unhindered access to quality tertiary education for Nigerian students.

“With Rt. Hon. Gbajabiamila in the Villa as Chief of Staff, a lot of things have changed for the better,” Governor Adeleke stated, adding that the former Speaker’s dedication to national progress has been evident since the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari.

He noted that Osun State is aligning closely with President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda through the vigorous implementation of his administration’s 5-point development plan aimed at driving economic growth and social development.

“We must continue to rally support for our President as he strives daily to right the wrongs of the past that had caused hunger and poverty across the country,” the Governor said.

Governor Adeleke also urged his fellow Southwest governors to support and domesticate the NELFUND initiative to ensure that students across the region benefit maximally.
