Recently, Osun State was shaken to its foundation by the resignation of one of its most versatile and dedicated politicians, Hon. Busayo Oluwole Oke, from the ruling party in the state.

While some political Lilliputians and sponsored neophytes -particularly in Ijesa North have attempted to peddle blackmail and spurious petitions against him, these efforts have largely fallen flat. Why? Because Hon. Wole Oke’s legacy speaks for itself.

He is a man who has empowered thousands, touched countless lives, and left an indelible mark on his constituency and Osun State at large. Even the blind can feel the weight of his contributions.

Rather than waste time on distractions, let us focus on the substance of his work -what makes Hon. Wole Oke truly a leader of leaders and a man of destiny.

⚖ Recent Political Developments

Though a few of his former allies who benefitted immensely from his good heart now clamor for his recall (dead on arrival), many see such moves as lacking in wisdom and political maturity.

In truth, the resignation has shone a spotlight on the real issues affecting Osun East -a region long overdue for state and federal attention.

It is a testament to Hon. Oke’s vision that even in departure, he still draws attention to the needs of his people.

Wole Oke’s journey is a story of resilience, leadership, and purpose.

He is not just a politician, but an enigma, a true statesman, and a visionary. His impact spans education, infrastructure, economy, and governance.

🙏 Final Thoughts

In truth, Oluwole Oke is one man who should be called “the people.” I am proud to call him my leader.

Let us not lend ourselves to any sponsored gang-up aimed at maligning or tarnishing his legacy. Hon. Oluwole Oke is not eni a nri fin – he’s not someone to be toyed with. If we had just two like him in Obokun/Oriade, our constituency would be far more developed.

To Hon. Busayo Oluwole Oke, I say: Thank you for your selfless service to our constituency, our state, our nation, and humanity.

To the people of Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency, I implore you to eschew violence and avoid divisive politics.

Let us work together for peace, progress, and sustainable development in our land.
